Which Air Fryer Is The Best For Air Fryer Tater Tots ?
Now that we have established that using your Air Fryer is the best way to make the best loaded tater tots, let’s get into. First you are going to need an air fryer if you don’t already have one. Let me explain my favorite air fryer and where you can get one. There are many different brands and sizes of air fryer’s but ultimately there is one that is above and beyond all. The air fryer I use can be found here. This is perfect for any dish you need and has a large basket if you need to make extra.
How Do I Make The Best Air Fryer Tater Tots?
Start off by spraying the pan in your air fryer. This will make it so the tater tots don’t stick to the bottom. Then line the bottom of the tray with your tater tots. You do not want to stack the tater tots as they will not become crispy for your liking. Then add your chopped onions on top along with chili powder, salt, and pepper. Then cook for 5 minutes at 400 degrees or until they become crispy on the top.
Time To Add The Toppings
Now that the tater tots and onions are cooking you can patiently wait for that to be done so you can add the rest of your toppings. Like stated above, make sure your bacon and chicken are already cooked so you can add it right in when the tots are starting to get crispy. Once your tater tots are crispy then add your turkey bacon, shredded chicken, and cheese. Cook for another 5 minutes on 400 degrees or until the cheese is fully melted with a crispy brown layer on top. It can vary on cook times based on how much cheese you add.
After cooking for 5 minutes your finished product should look like this.
